Miriam Roure is passionate about improving cities through technology and design. She is the Program Director at URBAN-X, an accelerator built by MINI and Urban Us, dedicated to investing in and supporting entrepreneurs developing urban solutions.
Previously, Miriam worked at MIT Senseable City Lab, a research laboratory dedicated to exploring the future of cities from a data and sensor-based technology perspective. At MIT, Miriam managed several urban tech projects and led collaborations with private and public partners. Trained as an architect an urban planner, she also worked at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture in Rotterdam and at Mateo Arquitectura in Barcelona, where she developed a variety of projects that demanded applied architectural thinking, within and beyond built form.
Miriam has been invited to speak at a number of venues including the Smart City World Congress, Ignite Talks Barcelona, the Architecture Boston Expo, the European Lab Forum, amongst others and was a guest at 8TV with Josep Cuní.
Miriam holds degrees from Harvard University (MArchII) and Cornell University (BArch). At Harvard, she studied how architecture and design thinking can have an impact within the context of developing economies, which led her to intern at Continuum Innovation in 2012 and to organize the first Harvard xDesign Conference in 2013.
David founded MozioGroup.com/Mozio.com 8 years ago, and has grown it to 65 employees and 3.5M in investment and major partners like Hertz, AMEX GBT, JetBlue, Toronto's GO Transit and more. He is currently founding SupperClub, your digital community manager, and MainStreetOne (www.mainstreet.one), a content generation & persuasion tool for Democrats.
He mentors on entrepreneurship around the world, including in North Korea, Norway & Mexico, and is an advisor to the EBRD on Entrepreneurship, and a board member at BAIL (bailsf.org).
He is also an active angel investor in other startups like Loungebuddy, Arcus, Cabin & Bonsai.
Kerri brings to Amadeus years of executive-level experience in e-commerce, travel distribution, strategic planning, and global operations. Prior to joining Amadeus North America as Head of Amadeus for Startups, Kerri held roles at Orbitz Worldwide, and eBookers, where she was responsible for the execution of several global business and technology initiatives. With years of expertise in the industry and managing cross-cultural and cross-functional teams, her experience with both traditional and startup organizations gives her unique insight into how to best deliver technology solutions and services targeted to established online travel brands and industry startups.
Shika Saraf is an investment professional at Hudson Structured Capital, responsible for evaluating growth equity and private/public debt opportunities in the transportation sector. She believes that the industry is undergoing a massive transformation and is excited to be part of a team that is committed to staying at the forefront of that. Prior to Hudson, she spent 8+ years at Lone Star, a private equity fund where she focused on real-estate and transportation sectors in North America and Europe.
Shika is an active member of the Wharton Angel Network (WAAN), that showcases and invests in early stage start-ups. Through the network, she has evaluated and invested in several ventures and provides sector specific expertise to entrepreneurs and WAAN members. Shika loves the outdoors and has been applying her skillset for improving the environment. She is on the board of Natural Areas Conservancy, a non-profit employing a science-based approach for preserving forests and wetlands in New York. With her spare time, she hopes to become a better bridge player.
Shika graduated Summa Cum Laude in Computer Science and Economics from Stony Brook University and completed her MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
